X-gateway™ - Network to network gateways
Anybus X-gateway CANopen Slave to
ControlNet, DeviceNet and EtherNet/IP
This Anybus X-gateway is a bridge between a CANopen network and
a Rockwell Automaon PLC system with ControlNet, DeviceNet or
EtherNet/IP.
The X-gateway copies cyclic I/O data in both direcons enabling data
exchange between networks. This ensures a consistent informaon ow
throughout the enre plant.
Connecting a CANopen network to a Rockwell
Automation PLC system
When to use
Integrang Rockwell Automaon
devices and PLC systems to
CANopen installaons.
Conguration
The included Anybus Conguraon
Manager X-gateway allows you to
dene the I/O data sizes on each
network side and to dene the data
mapping and separaon between
cyclic I/O data and parameter data.

Optional accessories
USB-RS232 conguraon adapter
Part No: 019570
The X-gateway consists of two communicaon interfaces. The rst
interface provides CANopen Slave funconality. The second interface
provides ControlNet, DeviceNet or EtherNet/IP Adapter funconality.
An easy way to transmit I/O data between a CANopen
network and ControlNet, DeviceNet or EtherNet/IP
Allows for cyclic I/O data exchange between networks
Fast I/O data transfer with average ming between
networks: 10-15 ms
CANopen PDO and SDO data objects supported
Oponal control and status informaon added to the I/O data for
diagnosc purposes
Included Anybus OPC server for extended funconality available
with the EtherNet/IP version
EtherNet/IP version with IT funcons such as dynamic web
server, supporng downloadable customer specic web pages
